Founded in 1973 by Rebbetzin Rachel Chalkowski, famed midwife at Shaarei Zedek Hospital, Matan B’Seter Bambi provides financial aid to highly impoverished families in Israel. Bambi helps families undergoing acute medical or social crisis with money to cover basic living expenses, emergency medical aid, and trauma and mental health services. The recipients include large families, single parent families, agunot, and children with special needs.
